Welcome, welcome, welcome!

to our last season as Alsager Arts Centre, before we move to Crewe, to the huge new Cheshire Contemporary Arts building, and become the

Axis Arts Centre

But lined up before all that we have some remarkable artists dropping by, from leading names in a range of fields to the newer and the very new faces in performance and gallery based practice.

We’ve got some virtuoso performers across dance, theatre, music and creative writing, working individually and in collaboration. We’ve also expanded our activities in the Gallery as our new ‘Curating Knowledge’ programme, led by curator Jane Linden, offers up eight projects by all manner of contemporary arts practitioners engaged in research, each significantly re-conceiving of the gallery as a site for debate, performance, experimentation and exhibition.

Click on the Performance and Gallery Events tabs above for full details... It all adds up to as many good reasons as I can think of to make the effort and catch some extra-ordinary work in the last ever Alsager Arts Centre season, and not just for your place in history…
